The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) was recently completed by acclaimed architect Amanda Levete along Lisbon’s waterfront. The curvaceous building significantly enhances the seaside promenade, gently sloping up to a dramatic crest before descending back to ground level. The building is both discreet and dramatic.
A completely publicly accessible rooftop with uniquely sculpted landforms, lawns, connective routes, and stepped areas. This creates a generous new public space for the city with sweeping views of the sea and city. Development and public space are not mutually exclusive!
