Singapore is known for modern use of prefabricated construction, building some of the tallest and most exciting prefabricated buildings in the world. So it was funny to stumble upon these 150 year old houses in Collingwood, Melbourne! They were prefabricated from tropical hardwood in Singapore during the 1850’s and shipped down to Australia during the gold rush.
