Nearly 5 years since the opening of Oasia Hotel Downtown by WOHA Architects, the nearly 200 meter tall building has grown into one of the tallest living green walls in the world.
With over 50 species of plants growing up the building, the building provides over 10 times as many green areas than if the site was left empty. It has been a joy to watch the building come alive as the crimson facade has quickly grown over with lush greenery, bring back biodiversity to the city with insects, squirrels, birds, and even rare Himalayan Griffon Vultures taking up residence in the skyscraper.
The innovative building has come alive, and shows that dense urban living and natural habitats are not mutually exclusive!
