After a private design competition in 2018, it was announced that local developer CapitaLand had selected a team led by Bjarke Ingels to design a skyscraper in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District.
Construction has been progressing quickly (although currently on hold due to the coronavirus), and the 280 meter high building (tied with three others for second tallest in Singapore) is already taking a prominent place on the Singapore skyline.
One of the most interesting design features of the building, the peeled-open facade which will subtly reveal skyrise greenery is beginning to take shape.
For an idea of how the building will look like once completed, check out the physical building model as seen at the CapitaLand Model Gallery!
