In land-scarce Singapore, architects & developers have to get creative in optimising land use. Tower Fifteen (formerly known as the Euro Asia Centre) is a compelling example (see another one here)- literally building a skyscraper on top of another tower!

The original ~14 storey building was built in the 1970’s, and a new ~12 storey addition was built on the three massive columns in 2003.

In 2008, the footprint of the upper extension was expanded and the entire complex was reclad with a contemporary glass facade by RSP Architects. Not many buildings have undergone such a dramatic transformation!

The building is currently up for sale in case you’re interested in adding another stack on top!
