Check out this incredible competition-winning design for the expansion of the Singapore subordinate court building, which is planned to be completed in 2019 by Serie & Multiply Architects.

The tower does not have an external facade, each individual courtroom is enclosed with terra-cotta walls (echoing the surrounding clay tile rooftops). The openness of the structure not only acts as a symbol of transparency, but also creates naturally ventilated public garden corridors throughout the building.

Within a rectilinear frame, Serie & Multiply have created a dynamic and engaging vertical extension to an incredible existing brutalist court building.

I’m very excited to see this engaging concept as a completed building!
