The Original Wisma Atria
The scale, speed and quantity of construction in Singapore is staggering, but equally monumental are efforts to keep older buildings relevant (profitable?). Opened in 1986, Wisma Atria has been an ongoing project of DP Architects, starting with the 2004 renovation:

The notion of Architecture as a static entity is questioned by the very intense re-development happening on extremely lucrative properties in Singapore. With space at a premium, architecture needs to age well to survive. Somehow, the simple blue tower from ’86 has managed to last three incarnations of the podium.
